WebSep 9, 2024 · Remember the 305 Vortec heads are not the same as the 062-906 Vortecs. The intake port may be the same but the chamber is of a different design. I do know of people using the 906's on 305's and make great power with them. My opinion is that better air flow out weighs a slightly higher compression.
