WebThe Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2024, which came into effect in March 2024 was extended to cover all private and social tenancies by March 2024. The Act was put into place to ensure that all rented accommodation is fit for human habitation and safe for tenants at the beginning of the tenancy and throughout.
