WebFeb 14, 2024 · Fast-forward to 1912, when we got the Missouri Synod’s first English-language hymnal. There was a group of English-speaking Lutherans who had developed a hymnal on their own. When they joined the Missouri Synod as our English District, they gifted to us their English-language hymnal. CPH took that over and published it.
